STORE UPDATES & HERO UPDATES!

Posted by Right Time on May 19, 2020

Hello Right Time friends!

We wanted to share an update for you guys to know where we stand.

We are OPEN! - with some safety limitations as described below. We`re trying to keep you guys and all the employees here as safe as possible while still seeing your smiling faces!

The Highlands Ranch store is now open 10am-6pm Monday through Friday and 10am-5pm on Saturday.

We have pick-up and drop-off available for repairs at the south side of the building-simply call (303)862-3900 when you arrive and we`ll come out (through the back door) to retrieve your watch(es). The showroom is open for those that want to come in and shop-we do ask that you always wear a mask in the store. We are restricted to no more than three customers in the store at a time. We have some soap and sanitizer for you and we`re regularly going through the store to keep everything as clean as possible.

The Denver store will be open starting on Monday, normal hours as well: 10am-6pm Monday through Friday and Saturday 10am-3pm. They will also be at a three customer limit in the store (there is a little area you can wait in outside if needed--we`re lucky it`s warm and sunny now!) Masks will be required at the Denver location as well.

At this time, we are not doing quick repairs (no same day turn-around). We believe the best way to keep everyone safe is to allow 24 hours from drop-off before the watch goes to the watchmaker. We want to mitigate exposure to anything as much as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience. We want you to have running watches as quick as possible, while keeping safety in mind!

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out via Facebook, Instagram, phone, email, snail mail, or any other method you prefer! We`re here and happy to help as much as possible. We`re all in the same boat of uncertainty so we`re just trying to navigate the best we can.

We want you to know how much we appreciate you guys and your support during these crazy times. It means the absolute world to us. We love your stories, your heroes, your check-ins, and your #happywrist pictures! Please stay healthy and safe.

Thank you,
Victoria and the rest of the Right Time crew

We`re continuing on with our #RightTimeHeroes! I am sorry for the lack of newsletter last week, it`s been a little bit of chaos for us with everything opening back up! Please enjoy their incredible stories below! We want to thank Bering, Casio, and Armourlite for their donations to this incredible cause.

CINDY BROWNSARGEANT JUSTIN LAUCK

To keep the good news rolling, our next winner is Cindy Brown. Cindy is a nurse and the Certified Diabetes Educator at the VA Hospital in Denver. Her daughter sent in a touching nomination:
"I nominate my mama, my hero, modern day Florence nightingale. Like all of us, she has been struggling with depression and fear surrounding the COVID outbreak. Everyday she still gets up and goes to work at the VA hospital serving veterans of our country. She works as a diabetes educator currently where her patients are high risk and need her regardless of what is going on in the world. She comes home from work and gets undressed in her laundry room, washes her clothes and takes a shower to sanitize herself the best she can knowing that she could be carrying covid-19 home to my niece who she watches after she gets off. Even though her days are long she constantly thinks about her hospital almost always bringing work home with her and thinking of how to better prepare for the influx of covid patients they expect, she thinks about staying up until 2 am making hand sewn masks and checks on all of her people before she lays her head down. At the end of the month she is being put on the covid floor from her important desk job to care for patients because there are not enough nurses to care for the patients who are ill and hospitalized. She risks herself every single day because she LOVES taking care of people. And she`s not alone! Heroism is in the blood of all the nurses I know!"

We are so incredibly thankful for Cindy and the work that she does, as a nurse, and especially as a mom and grandma. Colorado is so lucky to have you. Thank you hero!

Cindy won an awesome stainless steel bracelet with charm from @beringtime. It is beautiful and can handle life on the wrist of a nurse!

Cindy, helpers like you are the good news that we are all craving right now!

The second #RightTimeHeroes winner this week is Sargeant Justin Lauck of the Northglenn Police Department. His nomination was sent to us by his, extremely proud, father-in-law.

His father-in-law`s glowing nomination:
"We would like to nominate our son in law Justin Lauck. Not only do we look at him as a hero for being a top notch husband to our middle daughter, and an incredible father to our 4 year old granddaughter but he is also a hero as a Northglenn law enforcement officer. At the young age of 30, he has a very long list of accomplishments. He served our country in the army serving 3 tours overseas, 2 in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan. Upon returning to the states and completing his enlistment, he became a Northglenn police officer. Just recently he was made Sargeant. Along with that responsibility, he is also on the Northglenn/Westminster Swat team, passed the very difficult testing to become a motorcycle cop, firearms trainer and gun range skills trainer, served 2 years on the North Metro Undercover Drug Task Force, has several hazmat and chemical endorsements, and has a handful of awards and medals of bravery from the police dept. A couple years ago at the Walmart shooting in Thornton, he was finishing his shift and heard the call of an active shooter situation. He immediately jumped into action and was the first person on the scene and into the store. He kisses his wife and daughter every night leaving for work hoping to make it thru his shift and home again for another day with his family.
In his spare time, he just completed college with a degree in criminal justice, served on the board of a law enforcement motorcycle club, and is teaching his daughter sign language, german and spanish. Yes he speaks all fluently.
Of course he is our son in law and we think the world of him, but for all he does for our communities and keeping us all safe, that alone makes him a hero to everyone that knows him."

Thank you Sargeant Lauck, for your sacrifices and your courage, for all you`ve done and continue to do. Thank you hero!

DESIREE PATERAUSTIN WINSTON

Our final hero for last week`s #RightTimeHeroes drawing is Desiree Pater. She is a CNA at Porter hospital. She is our youngest hero so far!

Her proud mama wrote:
"She was only 17, and a senior in high school when she received her CNA license. It was at that point that it was crystal clear, of her fierce determination to make a difference in the lives of others and she chose to be a helper.
Our hero is named Desiree Pater, she will turn 20 on April 21st this year. Desiree has been working in the nursing field for about 3 years now. Lately, she has been assigned to work in the "morbid care" units mainly for incoming Covid-19 patients.
Desiree works 12 hours shifts over the weekends. Just recently, she was told to sit with a male patient that had the Covid virus. The older man was dyeing by himself and Desiree was there to comfort him. She was so taken back, that this man had family that loved him, but they could not comfort him or be with him on his death bed. The elderly man passed away within hours of her being by his side. Desiree was heartbroken and in tears! She said all of the staff were crying and so upset because he was alone without family by his side.
After her shift that night (6:30am) Desiree wrote her boss the following letter:
(Letter cut out for length. Desiree requested the use of ipads to allow patients to skype with loved ones)
The following week her supervisor took her letter seriously and implemented the use of iPads to help patients connect with their loved ones while transitioning to the end of their lives. Desiree continues to work in the Covid unit at Porter Hospital risking her life to comfort others. Desiree has already made a huge contribution to this world in the short amount of time she`s been alive. We can`t wait to see how this helper will touch the lives of her patients and our community. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
Laura Pater (mom)"

We are so proud of you and honored to be part of your community Desi! Thank you for all that you do. You are brave, selfless, thoughtful, and a true hero! Thank you hero!

Desi is getting an awesome @babyg_usa by @gshock_casio_official perfect for nurse life!

During ordinary times we are so inspired by our military and our firefighters! This young man is both. Nominated by his number one fan, mom, we applaud Austin Winston of the South Metro Fire Department.

"I want to nominate my son, Austin Winston, as a Right Time hero! He currently a paramedic/firefighter with South Metro, caring for any and all who need care! He never is worried about himself, but puts himself out to help! Not only does he serve the community now, but he has also served in the Army, with two deployments, back to back to Afghanistan and Kuwait. As soon as he returned he went right back to school to become a paramedic, because he really desires to serve others! We are so proud of all the sacrifices he has and continues to make to serve others! Plus he is a big fan of Right Time watches! I hope you will choose Austin as one of your heroes!!!"

Thank you Austin for all that you have done and continue to do. Thank you for your heroic acts and for your appreciation of fine timepieces! We salute you! Stay safe hero, we are all rooting for you. Thank you hero!

MARK MURRAYANNE LENZ THUMANN

Thank you to all of our #RightTimeHeroes
We are so honored to be able to award these heroes that we respect, appreciate, and admire. They are the people that make living in a global pandemic a little easier to manage. We are especially thankful for our doctors that put it all on the line everytime that they walk in to work. They are always doing their best to try and help their patients. Thank you doctors. And a special thank you to our winner this week, Dr. Mark Murray, an Interventional radiologist at Centura Health. He was nominated by his proud wife: "I would like to nominate my husband Mark Murray. He loves watches and especially loves coming in to your store and talking to you and all the staff in your Highlands Ranch Store. He is a doctor and has been going in during this terrible time taking care of some of the sickest patients. When he comes home he never talks about what he sees and remains upbeat to ensure we at home feel safe and don`t worry. I know however he has partners, nurses, and other colleagues who have become sick and despite this he still continues to go in and take care of his patients. Please consider him for your Hero give away program I know it would mean the world to." Thank you Mark for the work that you do always, and especially for your sacrifices during these trying times. It takes a hero to come home to his family and have the strength to make them feel safe as well. Thank you hero!

Our final winner for our weekly #RightTimeHeroes drawing is so incredibly important. In these challenging times, I think we have all understood how important our grocery stores are and how important it is that they are fully supplied with food.

Thank you Anne Lenz Thumann, nominated by her admiring husband:
"Anne is a Human Resource Director for United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) which is one of the largest supplier of groceries to retail stores in the United States.
Anne normally travels often as her territory is from Denver to Alabama and all in between. She is no longer allowed to travel but she has decided to work out of the UNFI Distribution Center in Aurora CO. She could work from home but she is compelled to take the same risks as her employees in the distribution centers take.
She is responsible for ensuring that enough workers are hired and working to ensure that UNFI can continue to load and ship groceries 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. She is also the person that works with employees who have either tested positive for or are likely to have been around someone with Corvid 19 Virus. If an employee is tested positive, she ensure that the employee is quarantined and the distribution center is shut down while a deep cleaning takes place. She also tracks and communicates with employees that are ill, to ensure they quarantine and are getting the help they need.
As a result of her hands on and face to face work with employees, when she gets home she is often working throughout the night and 7 days a week to help keep the DC running smoothly and the groceries going out the door.
When Anne gets home at night, she changes clothes in the garage and heads to the shower immediately to try and protect us (her family) from being exposed to anything she may have come into contact with.
We love her and worry for her safety, but also admire the courage she has to keep her employees safe and keep the groceries going to the stores.
I hope you believe as I do that Anne is worthy of being called a hero."

Absolutely worthy! Thank you hero!
