NEDU which stands for "Navy Experimental Diving Unit" is the unit of the US Navy responsible for rolling out operational diving and decompression rules for the military. As a pioneer in creating watch standards in the end of 19th century for American watch companies, its a very good match between the two brands - Ball and Navy.
